ABOUT ME
Dr. Donya Ball is a superintendent in California and for over two decades has been a change-maker in public education, leading staff to inspire students to reach their full potential in preparation for life beyond the classroom. Donya is a professor for both educational leadership and teacher education. She is passionate about school and district leadership. She published her first book, Adjusting the Sails: Weathering the Storms of Administrative Leadership in 2022, followed by Against the Wind: Weathering the Storms of Administrative Leadership in 2023. Prior to her superintendency and work in higher education, Donya was a teacher in elementary and middle schools and a reading specialist. Donya then served as an assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent.
